We had a long and tiring, but safe trip - about 30 hours from Topeka to Lusaka. We had no problems through customs and immigration and were met by 2 of our missionaries upon arrival. We checked in at the guest house where we are staying and then went to Chris and Heidi Ness for dinner and orientation.
This morning (Sunday) we went to the church of the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in Zambia. We were warmly received. Both Karen and Priscilla Boatright brought greetings and I preached. There was a good response to the message. 6 young people responded to the call for salvation and the whole team joined in to pray for the sick.
After the almost 3 hour service we were graciously invited to the pastor's home. They live in very humble circumstances but had a meal of rice and chicken prepared for the whole team - served African style.
It's been a good start to our time here. Tomorrow we head out early to the Arms of God farm project and get the job laid out.
Everybody is in good health and good spirits and looking forward to the days ahead.
Blessings on you all,
Pastor Bo
